Yandere Game Jam Update

Hello, it's IcarusSun! Welcome to the first major update for A Domestic Love, and its official submission into the Yandere Game Jam! Even though I have another Yandere game, My Confession, it is currently on hiatus, as I'll be reworking it from the ground up. When it will be out of hiatus, I can't say for sure. However, this is about my newest Yandere game, A Domestic Love!

A Domestic Love follows a young couple, Honoka and Tsukasa, who have lived blissfully in love. That is until Honoka's horrifying family secrets are suddenly brought to life, introducing a potentially dangerous obstacle in their relationship, pushing Honoka to do things she hoped she would never have to do to keep her love...

The original demo that was released is very bare-bones and incredibly short, being just barely 5 minutes. So, for the game jam, a new demo is released! Here are the details for it now:

Demo Length: Approximately ~20 minutes

Includes:

• 1 path, DOUBT, with 1 completed chapter
• 1 new graphic (TW: BLOOD)
• 2 puzzles

What to expect in the next update:

• 2nd path, FORGIVENESS, with 1 completed chapter
• 2nd chapter for the DOUBT path
• More puzzles

DO NOT SELECT REASSURE WHEN GIVEN THE CHOICE! I hadn't realized until uploading the files that I hadn't blocked that choice, so ONLY SELECT DOUBT! NOTHING WILL HAPPEN IF YOU SELECT REASSURE! Sorry for this inconvenience, but it will be fixed ASAP.

There isn't much to the game yet, but there will be more to come later this month. Working on My Confession was a big learning point for me in figuring out RPG Maker and what I should be doing differently with my games. For example, A Domestic Love will have various puzzles, and more to do besides simply moving from one location to the next. Hopefully, this will make the game more interactive and enjoyable, and less like a visual novel. I will eventually add more graphics, but that will be my lowest priority unless a situation requires it. There may be some bugs in the demo, but I am currently working on searching and fixing them.
